Hello y'alls!!!  I went and bought Bad Company2 yesterday. So far Im only doing the Single Player, to get used to the controls and gameplay.

So far I like it... I hate the movie interruptions in SP, but I think I can live with the game once in MP

Yea, Steam as a whole hasn't ever been an issue with me.  This whole deal with BC2 has been entirely EA's doing, from roll-out (pre-load) to implementation.  They just didn't think this game's release through at all.
