Company of Heroes.  It's a RTS game with several versions/upgrades.  I'm playing Company of Heroes, Tales of Valor right now.  Just doing skirmishes.  It's relaxing.  I think they have it on Steam for cheap.

Along the same lines, I'm considering getting R.U.S.E, which looks very interesting/different.  It releases tomorrow.

I played the demo for RUSE a while back.  It is different.  Also interesting to play.  Your typical RTS with this whole misdirection element.  I haven't played MP, so I can't say just how fun it can be.  But the SP version of the demo was kinda fun.

So. is CoH similar to the Close Combat series that Microsoft did along while back?

If I recall the game, I think that there are similarities, but CoH is more graphically and tactically interesting.

BTW, I got RUSE yesterday and played it for a few minutes.  I really dig it.

What I liked about the old CC series of games is that they were platoon based and had the most intelligent AI in terms of both the enemy and your own troops.  Moral was a big factor and could easily sway the battle.  Wasn't too big a fan of when MS took over as publisher.  CC3 was really the best release of that series.  I would love to see a CC3-like modern warfare version of the game tuned to modern hardware (graphics, effects, etc.).  To be honest, there hasn't been a game like Close Combat in the RTS genre released since.

Any of you guys tried playing Worms?  I played these games back in the day, so I decided to get the latest iteration.  Love this game and just $20 on Steam.  ;) :clap2: :204:
