"Call of Duty: World at War will utilise the Call of Duty 4 engine but the developer has also added various enhancments, such as the ability the burn down buildings and foliage. The game takes place primarily in the pacific, with the US forces fighting Imperial Japan.
As of right now, Call of Duty World at War is scheduled for a fall '08 release.

 Infinity Ward has announced that  the 800-point Call of Duty 4 Xbox 360 Variety Map Pack will be released on June 5th for free to PC players! Infinity Ward community manager, Robert Bowling, has confirmed that downloadable content for Call of Duty 4 will be available this spring. The first map, Chinatown, is based on the Call of Duty 2 map Carentan.
